There is a theory in epigenetics that we carry information in our DNA directly linked to that of our grandparents living environment and life conditions. My father and grandmother fled Russia after WW2 in amazingly fortunate circumstances. I never knew the exact story and I dont even know my grandfathers name. During a tutorial with a professor, I unwrapped a painting given from my dad, and rolled up inside was a newspaper article with the most detailed account of their escape ever given to me.
following this a close friend informed me she wished never to have children, when I inquired why, she bluntly said “bad genes”
